Real hedgehogs, real recoveries, real second chances.

Twiggy was brought to the rescue by a friend of Steph's who had spotted her on a garden camera, struggling to move. She arrived weighing just 334g, less than a bag of sugar. She was cold, dehydrated, riddled with internal parasites and so weak she couldn't lift her head.
"Her head was on the floor of the tub, and she was pushing her head along just to try and get near the food and the water. She literally couldn't do it at all."
Steph treated Twiggy for internal parasites, fleas and dehydration, and over the next month her weight more than doubled to 808g. On 22 April 2025, Twiggy was released into a safe garden in Greenmount.

Every hedgehog that comes through the rescue gets named, treated and cared for individually. Their stories deserve to be told.

Some hedgehogs are still with us, building their weight and recovering. We'll share their progress as they get stronger.
Every hedgehog we rescue needs supplies, care and a safe garden to call home. Your support makes these stories possible.
